One of my friends came to me with her problem when trying to edit Lumix GH2 videos in Pinnacle Studio . I am not sure if the latest version Pinnacle Studio 14 would work with the non-AVCHD compliant 1080/60i and 720p, as many video editors do not support importing such files.
Upgrading to the latest version might cost around 100 bucks, and I would recommend a decent Panasonic AVCHD converter, which will handle the GH2 1080/60i and 720p MTS video and convert mts to Pinnacle Studio supported formats like DV, AVI, MPG, MP4, 3GP and WMV.

To help Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 owners to play and edit generated AVCHD files successfully, share the following guide to show how to convert GH2 1080i AVCHD and 720P AVCHD Lite to H.264 MP4 for Pinnacle Studio.
Step 1. Load Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 videos to Aunsoft Video Converter.
Transfer AVCHD Lite .mts files from Panasonic Lumix GH2 camera to PC hard drive via USB cable, run Aunsoft Video Converter as the best Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 converter, and click the “Add” button to load the 1080/720p .mts videos. You can also drag and drop the .mts files to the application UI for conversion.
